The competition is open to three groups of participants:

• Group 1 - Students: Ages 6-17
• Group 2 - College Students: Ages 18-22
• Group 3 - Workers and Others: Ages 22-35

Contestants can register to participate individually or as a team (no more than 3 people). Each contestant can participate in the competition both as a team and individually. The members of a team do not have to be the same age, but they must belong to one of the three age groups of the competition participants (students, college students, adults).

All contestants who register for the Paint Our Angels’ Wings contest can also register for Workshops (limited number of participants) within the framework of the competition and receive a certificate of participation from Lawrence S. Ting Foundation.

For winning contestants, certificates will be sent in hard copy by post.

For contestants who have submitted valid entries, certificates will be sent by email.

Yes. The final artwork must be in JPG or PNG format, with each image under 4MB. The picture book should be landscape-oriented, A4 size, and have a minimum of 12 pages, including the cover. The total number of pages must be divisible by four.

Hand-drawn or digital picture books are both accepted. Please note that if the artwork is hand-drawn, it must be scanned into JPG or PNG file when submitting to the contest website. The artwork should also meet the size, resolution, and paper orientation requirements as specified in the Terms and Conditions file.

Every valid artwork must contain one character with disabilties in the plot. The children with disabilities character in the story does not have to be a human character but can be anthropomorphized, but it must be illustrated correctly with the disability of the character chosen by the contestants.

Valid picture books after the competition will be added by Lawrence S. Ting Foundation to the digital library for disabled children in appropriate formats and posted on communication and education channels for non-profit purposes, as well as exhibited at the Children's Art Exhibition (if chosen).

The artworks will be scored based on 3 criteria:

• Content
• Illustration
• Meaningfulness

by 3 judges with high knowledge and expertise in picture book creation. The scoring criteria and scoring scale will be specified in the competition Terms and Conditions.

The competition will open for early submissions on September 1st.

During the early submission period: From 10 September till 17 September, contestants will receive the advantage of having votes counted higher.

The final deadline for submitting artwork is: 11:59PM on September 30th.

The winning contestants will be contacted by the organizers after the results are announced to proceed with the prize-receiving procedures.

For winning contestants under the age of 18, the prize will be transferred to the guardian after the organizers have contacted them and received full personal information, checked documents from the guardian and the person who registered for the competition.
